Hello everyone! I am Mehmet and I am an academic at Harran/Şanlıurfa University. I have lived in the US for five years and enjoy meeting people from other cultures. Let me introduce you to my city :)
We also did a full day trip with Mehmet, taking in Karahantepe, Soğmatur, Suayb and Harran, amongst others. A great way to see some of the fantastic ancient sites in the area with a friendly and very helpful guide. Highly recommended.
Even though I was the only one, Fatih was super excited to give the tour, had great knowledge about the city, the region and the kurdish people. He helped me buy stuff from the bazaar and went to lunch with me afterwards. A day well spend!
Mehmet was a champ for conducting the tour with only one person who showed up. Other times I have booked walking tours in second and third tiered cities the guides just don’t show up when it’s a small group. Great job Mehmet
