I am certified tourist guide in Rio de Janeiro , ( Half Brazilian / Half Portuguese), grew up in Estoril and I am back since the January 2025. I am a passionate artist, and storyteller with international background, my first novel is set in Cascais. I also lived in London and Paris and I love to meet people from different countries and cultures, I offer a walking tour in Estoril and Cascais with a touch of the legendary spy that influenced Ian´s Flemming James Bond
I had such a wonderful experience on my walking tour with Gabriella, and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone visiting Estoril and Cascais. What truly makes Gabriella stand out is her unique niche; she brings these towns to life through stories of mystery, WWII-era spies, and the fascinating international history that shaped this region. Her genuine fascination with Estoril and Cascais is evident, and it turns the experience into something far more engaging than a standard walking tour. One of our first stops was Garrett Estoril, one of the longest-running historic coffee houses, where we stopped for coffee (and they offer many unique pastries) while learning about its cultural significance. Gabriella also shared incredible stories about the Palácio Estoril Hotel, including the many famous guests who stayed there and how the hotel helped inspire many elements of some James Bond films. Hearing these stories while standing in the actual locations made the history feel very alive! From there, we took a beautiful coastal stroll north toward Cascais, where the tour became even more personalized. Gabriella allows you to shape the experience based on your interests, and since this was my first visit, I trusted her guidance. We ended up visiting a local museum featuring works by the iconic Portuguese artist Paula Rego, whose powerful and thought-provoking pieces added a deeper cultural layer to the day. One thing that truly deserves special mention is that although many walking tours require a minimum number of participants, Gabriella did not mind that I was the only one signed up. She still made a genuine effort to create meaningful dialogue and even customized parts of the tour around my personal interests. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring alongside a knowledgeable local who truly cares about sharing the story of her town. If you’re looking for a deeper, more unique perspective on Estoril and Cascais (one filled with history, mystery, art, and unforgettable storytelling!) I highly recommend booking a tour with Gabriella.
Very interesting tour and information with Ana. Thoroughly recommend it.
This tour was different and interesting. We saw physical locations to include natural areas. Historical museum display, and walked the steps of the spies of WWII. Loved it. Book this tour which is relaxing but mentally enticing!
Fascinating, unexpected and original. This is a most unusual and original lens to view the Portuguese Riviera. Love the stories and mystery and new way to look at a slice of Portuguese 20th century history.
