This was a great tour, we would definitely recommend getting a guide before visiting the pyramids for information since there isn’t much information around the grounds itself. Sherif is highly knowledgeable and actually an archaeologist on the pyramids of Giza himself. He explained everything very thoroughly and had great facts that we wouldn’t have known. While there are many “guides” outside the gates, we definitely recommend to prebook Sherif as you definitely won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much Sherif!
Sherif was an excellent guide for our walking tour of the Giza Plateau. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and archaeology of the site and explained everything clearly and enthusiastically. His storytelling made the experience engaging and entertaining, not just informative. We learned so much while enjoying every moment of the tour. Highly recommended!
Sherif is organized and gives good info ahead of time to find the meeting point. However, he gave so many details that made it boring. One stop lasted for 25 mins where we were made to sit and lectured to during that whole period. We didn’t get to see as much as we would have liked. Other people left the tour early and so did we. Sherif needs to cover more ground physically and bring us to see more of the pyramids. A summary of the most important facts is better than dishing out so much info that we won’t remember anyway.
Very competent and engaging guide, accurate in all expalantions
Sherif is a real storyteller and is extremely passionate about the pyramids. His tour was deeply informative and you can tell how knowledgeable he is; you can see how thoroughly he enjoys educating people about the history and archaeology of the ancient wonder. As well as the informative side, Sherif was constantly cracking jokes and smiling during the 3 hour tour, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and feeling comfortable. Sherif was a great tour guide...and very generous to offer such an informative tour for free (of course we all tip, but still!)!
