As if the Pyramids and Sphinx aren’t mind-blowing enough, we had the most entertaining and knowledgeable guide delivering an engaging and compelling history lesson to a group ranging in age from 18 to 70+. The route Sherif took us on was different from the other tours — and far better. With fascinating stories, a genuine passion and immense knowledge for Egypt’s past, Sherif brought ancient history to life and kept everyone fully engaged. His English is excellent, his humour spot-on, and he struck the perfect balance between education and fun. The tour is long, but the time flew by! Professional, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable — we cannot recommend Sherif highly enough.
We were initially nervous about visiting this area, as we didn’t want to be bombarded by vendors and simply wanted to experience the bazaar and its historic buildings. This tour — and this guide — were absolutely perfect. Sherif is an exceptionally gifted and knowledgeable guide. He shared incredible stories, provided a detailed history of the area, and led us to some truly hidden gems. We travelled as a family (two parents with two young adult children), and Sherif engaged all of us in such a friendly, interesting, and welcoming way. His English is excellent, and his humour made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll admit I was sceptical of all the glowing reviews at first, but after meeting Sherif, we completely understand why his reputation is so outstanding. We cannot recommend him highly enough. This was actually our second tour with him — the day before, he guided us at the Pyramids of Giza — and I already can’t wait to return to Cairo for yet another of his tours. This guy truly knows his stuff.

El mejor tour en Egipto, recomiendo 100%! hemos estado ya dos semanas en Egipto, recorriendo las distintas atracciones a lo largo del pais, y este tour fue verdaderamente y por lejos el mejor de todos! Sherif sabe muchísimo sobre las pirámides y su historia, y transmite los conocimientos con mucha pasión y claridad. Se toma el tiempo de explicar la historia, aclarar preguntas, e incluso mitos. Va a un ritmo tranquilo, fácil de llevar, fuimos caminando por el recinto y deteniendonos en lugares clave para explicación y tiempo suficiente para hacer fotos. Sherif tambien nos tomó unas fotos hermosas en las pirámides. Si vienen a Egipto, de seguro van a visitar las pirámides, recomiendo 100% que lo hagan con Sherif, para nosotros fue el highlight de nuestro viaje y en gran parte por su pasión y sentido del humor!
Sheriff is an actual archaeologist who is also a great storyteller. The 3-hour tour was packed with information but he made it so entertaining. Would recommend for everyone including families with kids.
