Wir hatten eine unterhaltsame zweistündige Tour (Beginn 10 Uhr) mit Joan persönlich. Wir haben nette Ecken von Arequipa gesehen und Joan überzeugte mit sehr gutem Englisch und einer guten Auswahl an gebotenen Informationen.
Was uns störte: die Tour begann etwa 15 Minuten zu spät, obwohl wir noch am Vorabend einen Hinweis erhielten, unbedingt spätestens 5 Minuten vor Beginn da zu sein. Die Dauer betrug am Ende dann knappe zwei Stunden statt der angegebenen 2,5 Stunden.
Wir waren eine relativ große Gruppe und Joan wartete bei seinen Erklärungen nicht darauf, dass alle bei ihm waren, sondern erzählte los, sobald er an der Station angekommen war. Das Ende der Gruppe hat dann jeweils die ersten Sätze verpasst. Auch das wirkte ziemlich gehetzt.

Este Free walking tour de la Sombrilla Amarilla fue excelente, y la guía Karen maravillosa ya que desde el inicio fue muy amable, cordial.
Durante el recorrido nos contó la historia de Arequipa desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad, incluyendo datos históricos, políticos, gastronómicos y culturales muy interesantes.
Definitivamente una experiencia muy enriquecedora, totalmente recomendo.

Loved this tour, got a good mix of information about history, current affairs, culture and cuisine with some very good food recommendations. Saw lots of places in Arequipa I would have never discovered on my own and Johan was a great guide!

Alonso was very nice and took us to some good places and told us interesting information. We got to try chicha and queso helado as well as see alpalcas and llamas. The things I think he could improve on is speaking much louder. Sometimes it was very difficult to hear him because the city is so loud. A lot of things he said we couldn't really hear. The other thing is making sure the group stayed together. Sometimes he would be walking so fast, and my boyfriend and I would try to take photos really quickly and before we knew it we had almost lost the group and he didn't seem to look back to make sure we were all still together. It was difficult to take photos along the way because of this.

Joan's tour was one of the most enjoyable free walking tours we have ever done. He took us to "hidden" viewpoints in the city and kept both adults and kids engaged the entire time.
