Robert was not only informative, but also entertaining. This made the tour more enjoyable, with no one looking at watches to see how much longer to go. His personal, family anecdotes gave his descriptions are more human touch.
Robert goes above and beyond in his tour. His passion for and knowledge about Budapest is apparent from start to finish. Beyond the extensive "book smarts" that Robert brings to his tour, the personal touch that Robert offers -- from stories about his grandparents close calls with Nazis to intimate knowledge of local politics and controversies -- make the tour stand out from a scripted Wikipedia-like run-through of city landmarks. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get personally acquainted with the beautiful city of Budapest.
Robert was a great guide, we enjoyed the tour and all his stories and remarks were very much fun. We strongly recommend spending those few hours with him as they will be very much enjoyable and informative.

One of the most informative and also quirky walking tours I've ever done. Robert knows so much about Budapest and its history that it's hard to get it into 3.5 hours, and the time went very quickly. He also provided a great many solid recommendations for "non-touristy" restaurants, pubs, etc. Really great especially if you're interested in local history!

I booked for the day after Halloween and showed up extremely hung over and sore for this 3 and a half hour walking tour. I admit I almost canceled having done a 2 hour walking tour of Buda the day before, and am glad I didn't. Robert guided us through Pest sharing personal stories, history and anecdotes. He was engaging, entertaining and just a pure delight. He even remembered everyone's name, which for a group of twenty I found to be extremely impressive. His stories were entertaining and educational, his humor hit every time. I really appreciated how when discussing controversial subjects he gave a fair representation of both sides. His Hungarian candy prize did not cure my hangover but the time flew by and the tour was over before I realized how much time had passed. Robert asked for questions multiple times throughout the tour and proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable. 5 out of 5, he ticked every box. If you only have time for one walking tour in Budapest, this is the one to take.

This was a highly informative tour which focused on both the history and contemporary culture of Budapest. A great introduction to the city. Our guide, Robert, was entertaining and impassioned when talking about his home city. Definitely recommend.

Robert neemt je mee op een tour die zeker niet standaard is. Vertelt je veel over de geschiedenis aangevuld met eigen verhalen en interessante weetjes over de filmwereld, popsterren enz. Hij heeft veel te vertellen, praat snel maar in excellent Engels en is daardoor goed te volgen. Echt een aanrader!

Robert's tour was great, I would highly recommend it! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining! My only negative feedback would be that it would have been good to have a short break to buy some food/drink during the tour or advice beforehand to bring some along would have been useful!

Es war ein super schöne, entspannten Tour mit vielen interessanten Infos. Die Mini Skulpturen zu suchen und zu finden, sowie einige markante Orte in Budapest zu besuchen hat uns viel Spaß bereitet. Robert was an amazing tour guide!! He had fantastic knowledge of everywhere we went and really fascinating stories. He explained everything in such an engaging way - the 3.5 hours went by so quickly!
Robert’s presentation was animated and entertaining. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a unique delivery of the information. He encourages audience participation and rewards correct answers with treats! The tour was 3 and 1/2 hours but time flew by. I would definitely recommend Robert to anyone wanting to get a great introduction to a wonderful city.
Excellent overall. Interesting, entertaining .. plenty of information about Budapest, its history past and present. One of the best tours I have ever taken. If you are really interested to know more, choose this one !
