Tom was absolutely lovely - time for every question and an encyclopedic knowledge of the area. When the tour finished we asked him for a recommend coffee shop, he confessed that he did not drink coffee but he would walk us to a coffee shop his mother uses! Would give five stars!

This is a great introduction to the historic area of Gijon. We were a small group, so it helped facilitate conversation. And also moving from location to location. Tom also provided us with local recommendations for drinks and food. The information was relatable, and we visited the key sites and learned about the most important people historically. Lots of information but delivered cheerfully, and effectively. If this is your first time here strongly suggest you take this tour.

Un tour muy interesante con un profesional medio español medio inglés residente en Asturias, por lo que conocía la materia perfectamente. Somos residentes en Gijón y, aun así, aprendimos muchas cosas.

Had a really fantastic tour with Tom. Actually did both the Gijon and Oviedo tours with him and each experience was the same top level. We usually do a walking tour when we first arrive in a new city so we’re no strangers to this sort of thing and Toms knowledge, presentation and pace is one of the best when it comes to these guided tours. Even when asked some questions off the cuff, he had the answers and actually, it was more like a conversation with a knowledgeable friend rather than a scripted schoolroom lecture which was really nice. Would definitely recommend booking a tour with Tom.

I had a really great time on the tour with Tom. It was incredibly informative and interesting, and you could tell he was genuinely passionate about the history. I agreed to a last-minute change to the tour time because another group needed an earlier slot, and Tom was very conscientious — he gave me a further tour of the rest of the city for about an extra hour. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Gijón.
