Saluti. Mi chiamo Will e vengo dall'Inghilterra, ma ho fatto di Madrid la mia casa per quasi un decennio. Ho costruito una vita fantastica qui imparando e condividendo la storia della città e godendomi il cibo e le bevande dei suoi leggendari bar che si possono trovare quasi ad ogni angolo. This tour was great and took us round the area of the university and surrounds, Will was knowledgeable and knew all the facts about the Spanish Civil war, and the effects on Madrid. He was polite and funny and clearly had a real interest in Spanish history. Would recommend.
Really interesting, Will has a breadth of knowledge on the war so would recommend have some questions beyond the battle for Madrid ready to further your understanding of the conflict.
Will’s forensic knowledge of his subject is matched only by his passion and enthusiasm for it. I heartily recommend this tour for anyone remotely interested in the Spanish Civil War and in particular, the battle for Madrid. It’s a thoroughly entertaining education of recent and significant Spanish history.
Really great tour. Will was hugely knowledgeable and engaging. The tour managed to communicate the narrative arc of the civil war in Madrid while informing about wider causes and the national context. Well worth doing!
