If you are the type of person who loves to see how locals actually live and want to experience a taste of that in Delhi, than it’s very important you book this experience with Nidhi and Roopak!!! I am so thankful to Nidhi & Roopak for opening up their beautiful home so that foreign travelers can experience how an Indian family in Delhi lives within their home. As soon as I arrived I was greeted with a warm traditional Hindu welcome into a tranquil and peaceful home amidst a bustling city. Roopak was very communicative and helpful leading up to the experience and provided clear directions and instructions to ensure that getting to their home and enjoying the experience within their home was as accommodating as possible. He even was generous enough to give me a lift to the metro after the experience! There are hosts and there are “hostess with the mostess” as Perle Mesta (a Washington DC socialite) would say and this lovely couple is definitely the latter. I had a wonderful time chatting/ laughing with them both, making masala chai, and learning about their Hindu traditions. I felt completely safe as a female solo traveler and would recommend this experience to those traveling alone, as a family, with friends, or a couple. Do not miss out on this experience and don’t leave Delhi without meeting this lovely couple!

I recently booked this experience for myself during my trip to Delhi and I absolutely loved it. All the activities were very nice especially the Henna Activity – it came out extremely beautiful on my hand and I went raving about it! Roopak & Nidhi were super kind and shared tons of insights about Indian culture, making the Experience even more enriching. I got the Experience tailor made for myself by picking five activities I was interested in and also got to meet a local family at their home in Delhi where the Experience was conducted. I surely recommend this Experience to anyone looking for a unique and personalized Delhi adventure.

I booked this one for my friend travelling to Delhi on his birthday. He liked the various activities and the overall Experience. He was very impressed by the visit to the Cow Shed and thanked me for booking this Experience for him. The Hosts were very kind and explained a lot about Indian culture during each Activity. Roopak provides a very different experience to other 'Guruwalks'. You are welcomed into his family's home and are encouraged to ask as many questions as you like, even on the tricky subjects (religion and beliefs). I learned a great deal and really felt welcomed. The visit to the cow shed also answered many of my questions about the cows that you see roaming the streets, and the importance of these to the Indian people. I really enjoyed my visit, and hope one day to return.
