Ronaldo - Guida turistica a Bilbao

We did the walking tour of Bilbao’s Casco Viejo "Bilbao: From Rise to Decline - The story of a city that rose from tragedy to become a symbol of urban planning" with Ronaldo, and really enjoyed it. Since the tour was in Portuguese, it ended up being just the two of us, which made the experience more personal — though it also means it’s harder to judge how the tour flows with a larger group. Ronaldo clearly knows the history of Bilbao and gives a solid introduction that helps you understand the city’s context before exploring. What we appreciated most is that he likes to share extra stories and curiosities beyond the standard route. He’s happy to make small detours if the group is interested, and those ended up being some of our favourite parts of the tour. If you’re someone who enjoys history and deeper context, definitely say yes to those detours — they make the walk much more interesting. Overall, a friendly and informative tour, especially for anyone wanting to understand Bilbao’s past and how it shaped the city today.
