Rachel was a superb guide. There was only two of us on the walking tour and we got Rachel's full attention. She shared her insights and told us stories behind each of the food items we had. We really appreciated the pace as well, with short walks between each establishment, aiding digestion and making room for the next round ‐ we were very full by the end of it. We would never have eaten or known about the different food items had it not been for this tour, highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time exploring the different foods on offer in Hanoi. Our guide’s name was Rachel who was very knowledgeable and proud to show us what types of food was on offer here. Rachel (Yen) was very knowledgeable, had good food choices, and very accommodating with 2 picky teenagers. We hit up 3 restaurants, a dessert place, and ended at Train Street bar. Make sure you come hungry!!
We had only been in Hanoi a few hours and this tour gave us an amazing introduction to the food and living in Vietnam. We loved our time with Rachel and ending the tour in Train Street was perfect. We would highly recommend this walk to anyone who wants to try the local cuisine. Thank you.
We had a wonderful time. We tried new (to us) types of food, not the usual soup, sandwich, etc. Rachel initially asked if we have any food restrictions and made some adjustments to the itinerary. So we were able to enjoy all the food. The train street experience at night was amazing. Finally, I think the best part of the tour was Rachel sharing her culture and her curiosity about our culture. I recommend this tour to everyone.
