Siamo una coppia di guide turistiche autorizzate a tempo pieno a Istanbul, Hakan ed Emre, entrambe con molti anni di esperienza nella guida e storie interessanti. Hakan è un istanbul nato e cresciuto, cresciuto nella città di Istanbul in una famiglia tradizionale che possiede una panetteria. Trascorrendo tutta la sua vita a Istanbul, Hakan ha avuto il privilegio di diventare studente nella scuola più storica della Turchia, l'Università di Istanbul. Avendo l'opportunità di trascorrere i suoi anni da studente nell'unica scuola situata nella Città Vecchia di Istanbul, ha imparato la zona come il palmo della sua mano. Dopo essersi diplomato al collage, ha ottenuto il suo primo lavoro come giornalista. Affascinato dalla storia della sua città natale e dal settore del turismo, ha frequentato la sua seconda università ed è diventato guida turistica autorizzata. Lavora dal 2019. Emre, invece, affonda le sue radici più di un secolo fa a Istanbul. Ha trascorso la sua infanzia nel centro di Istanbul e si è ritrovato all'estero per i suoi studi liceali. Successivamente è tornato a Istanbul e ha deciso di imparare la lingua più difficile del mondo: il cinese. Ho trascorso 4 anni in Cina, padroneggiando la lingua e partecipando anche ad una band che si esibiva in bar e festival. È tornato nella sua città natale, Istanbul, per realizzare finalmente il suo sogno da adolescente di diventare una guida turistica, ha frequentato il master come guida e ha ottenuto la licenza. Dal 2018 guida turisti in più lingue.

Hakan was incredibly knowledgeable and very entertaining. He made sure we got not only the historical facts, but also the fun and more curious facts about the city. He also had incredible recommendations for good food and other activities, as well as a full accessible guide of other things to do in Istanbul. You can definitely feel the love he has for his city and that makes the tour that much more enjoyable!
We had a fantastic tour in Istanbul! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much about the city’s rich history while also giving us practical tips on what to see and do during our stay. The pace was perfect — not too much walking, with plenty of time to stop, look around, and really take in the sites. We visited some of the well-known highlights, but also got to explore places that most tourists never see, which made the experience feel really special. I highly recommend doing this tour at the very beginning of your visit. It gives you a great holistic overview of the city and helps you plan out the rest of your trip with confidence. Truly an informative and enjoyable experience!
