Somos un dúo de guías turísticos autorizados a tiempo completo en Estambul, Hakan y Emre, ambos con muchos años de experiencia como guías e historias interesantes. Hakan nació y creció en Estambul, creció en la zona urbana de Estambul en una familia tradicional propietaria de una panadería. Al pasar toda su vida en Estambul, Hakan tuvo el privilegio de convertirse en estudiante de la escuela más histórica de Turquía, la Universidad de Estambul. Al tener la oportunidad de pasar sus años de estudiante en la única escuela ubicada en la Ciudad Vieja de Estambul, aprendió la zona como la palma de su mano. Después de graduarse en collage, consiguió su primer trabajo como periodista. Fascinado por la historia de su ciudad natal y el sector turístico, fue a su segunda universidad y se convirtió en guía turístico autorizado. Trabaja desde 2019. Emre, por otro lado, tiene sus raíces en Estambul desde hace más de un siglo. Pasó su infancia en el centro de Estambul y se encontró en el extranjero para realizar sus estudios secundarios. Más tarde regresó a Estambul y decidió aprender el idioma más difícil del mundo: el chino. Pasó 4 años en China, dominando el idioma e incluso participando en una banda que actuaba en bares y festivales. Regresó a su ciudad natal, Estambul, para finalmente hacer realidad su sueño adolescente de convertirse en guía turístico, hizo su maestría en guía y obtuvo su licencia. Ha estado guiando a turistas en varios idiomas desde 2018.
What a fantastic tour! We have done many walking tours in many cities and this is honestly one of the best we have ever done. Harkan was so friendly and welcoming but also so knowledgeable. We learnt so much more about Istanbul and have a much deeper appreciation for the city. Would highly recommended for anyone visiting the city - whether if it is your first or tenth visit!
Our walking tour with Emre was the best way to start our trip! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the major landmarks in old town, istanbul (Sultanahmet area), providing us with the in depth history and background of each location. He even prepared an in-depth guide that we used for the rest of the trip, including how to avoid tourist traps, how to use public transit, and delicious restaurant recommendations.

His deep knowledge of the history behind each place was shared in such a clear, engaging, and digestible way—informative without ever feeling overwhelming.
