Our guide Luis was very approachable. He had interesting photos to give his explanations some context. Some of the history ay the beginning was a bit long, you can read this at home and here you had to stand (we're 70). Luis was considerate of everyone's needs, some people had to go to the toilet and some had to buy a drink. Luis helped us in particular, ringing your company trying to sort out another tour we were trying to postpone.
The tour was just about the right length. We learnt about Évora through the ages and where different populations lived. We found out where the Moors built their houses, the Jewish population, lower aristocratic families a d so on. At the end the guide gave us some ideas how we could extend our visit.
This is more than a food tour, you also stop at the Roman baths, the gold souk and a perfume shop. We went to the first bakery and a famous Arab ice cream shop but unfortunately we were not able to try either the famous Knafeh or go to the typically Jordanian Hashem restaurant.
