This was such a lovely experience . Sorry I forget the name of the master carver, but he was super nice and professional. He gave me 3 choices; easy, medium or hard Carving. Full on respect now for all the carving work I see for sale here as this is made by real professional craftsmen. The workshop was outside on a square with the most amazing view. 100% Recommend this to anyone coming to Khiva
Super interesting experience - I thoroughly enjoyed getting hands on with the tools and gaining a better understanding of the effort put into all the carvings I saw around the old town. Very patient with my amateur efforts as well. Thoroughly recommend - you can pick a design based on your level of skill and how much time you want to spend
We had a really great master class making personalized coasters and learning the basics of Khiva wood carving. Very skilled and patient teachers will show you everything you need to know. It takes place next to Ko'hna Ark with a spectacular view of the nearby Madrasah. An afternoon well spent!
He was really kind. The master class took 2 hours for me, got design i wanted to try. it was so much fun and interesting. Got one of the best gifts ever in Khiva!!
