Ciao come stanno le cose! Sono Rubén e mi dedico al teatro e alle arti grafiche. Mi piace viaggiare, incontrare e condividere culture e personalità diverse e imparare cose nuove. Ho avuto la fortuna di viaggiare in Messico, Centro America ed Europa. Vivo nel centro storico di CDMX da 20 anni. Mi piace il contatto umano, che mi ha portato a ricevere ospiti in scambio nel 2006 (Hospitality Club). Successivamente ho proseguito in un'altra esperienza di alloggio per stranieri per 6 anni e con queste esperienze ho imparato molto dalle persone che ho incontrato in questo percorso. Mi piace molto la mia città e amo i quartieri in cui sono cresciuto. Mi interessa la cultura popolare che si sviluppa nei mercati, è molto attraente e rivela i nostri modi di vivere in città. Sono una persona divertente e gentile, mi piace il cameratismo e un buon senso dell'umorismo. Parlo fluentemente inglese e tedesco. Senza dubbio, con la mia esperienza e conoscenza dei mercati potremo goderci una bella passeggiata, vi invito a fare un divertente tour con aneddoti, informazioni e divertimento.

Ruben gave us an informative tour but usually when we have done markets tours in other cities, we had a chance to sample and eat market food. We only stopped once for food in this tour, a quick bite. The tour was held over lunch time, but don't expect to eat lunch.

We had a great time on our tour with Ruben. He's very professional and incredibly knowledgeable about the city. Mercado de la Merced is an enormous labyrinth and is definitely best visited with a guide for the full experience. Ruben did a great job keeping the group together in crowded spaces and we learned a lot about the market and surrounding neighborhoods. We are very glad we went on this tour and recommend it to other travelers.
