Great walking tour of Beirut with Mira! We really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about the history of Lebanon and Beirut, politics, culture, and the role religion plays in their society. Mira is incredibly knowledgeable and, even more important, she clearly loves her job, her country, and meeting new people. We have already recommended her to friends who will be visiting Lebanon in the coming months.
The tour was engaging and genuinely eye-opening, especially in the way Lebanon’s civil war and its aftermath were explained. Mira presented complex and sensitive topics clearly and objectively, making them easy to understand without oversimplifying. What stood out most was how open and responsive Mira was to questions. She took the time to address topics I was personally interested in and connected historical events with what we see in Beirut today. Although the tour lasted around three hours, it went by incredibly fast. Overall, it felt less like a typical walking tour and more like an insightful conversation about Beirut’s past and present. After the tour, I am thinking to expand my stay in beirut as I discovered more things from the tour. Highly recommended for travelers who want real understanding, not just sightseeing.
