Paul - Guida turistica a Dresda

I really enjoyed this tour. Dresden is unique in that it has been completely rebuilt to restore and preserve its history. Paul did an excellent job going through the city's history under the house of Wettin, and how Dresden came to be known as 'the Florence of the Elbe.' We also learned about the uneven reconstruction during the postwar socialist era, with Paul sharing some fascinating stories from his own family history. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know Dresden better.

Dresden landete eher zufällig auf meiner Reiseliste. Umso glücklicher bin ich, dass ich mich gleich am ersten Tag Pauls Tour anschließen konnte. Wir waren nur 4 Touris, aber Paul nahm sich viel Zeit, uns die wichtigsten Ecken der Dresdner Altstadt näherzubringen. Ich konnte wirklich viel über die Geschichte der Stadt und das Zusammenspiel der unterschiedlichen Baustile erfahren ... und habe mich dabei unverhofft ein bisschen in Dresden verliebt, eine Stadt, die ich so kaum auf dem Schirm hatte. Paul, der Tour Guide, ist nicht nur überaus eloquent (in Deutsch und Englisch), er ist auch noch sehr herzlich und einfach ein toller Mensch, mit dem man sich wunderbar unterhalten kann. Man merkt, wie sehr er Dresden als seine Wahlheimat schätzt. Zusammengefasst: Eine der besten Walking Tours, die ich bisher gemacht habe (und ich habe schon an vielen teilgenommen). Ich würde sie jedem empfehlen. Danke nochmal, Paul!

Paul is an informative guide. We particularly liked that he incorporated personal/family experiences in the tour which made it more interesting than it may have been with just facts and history.

It was a great experience. You really feel like if you’re seeing interesting places with a friend that knows a lot about the history of the city. It was very engaging, i would really recommend that tour with Paul, he’s an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable, very interesting stories and also, very handsome 🙈
