Percibimos que Gonzalo conocía muy bien la historia, la política y la cultura no sólo de Puerto Rico; sino de toda la comunidad caribeña. Toda pregunta fue contestada y la atención fue excelente. Gonzalo was nice in the beginning but as time went on, his “jokes” were borderline rude. He could also tell that he offended me on a few occasions and did apologize as I stopped engaging. I was the only one in the group and brought my husband. I was grateful that Gonzalo let him come but no one else showed up. Which is why Gonzalo had to repeat MANY times and even at the end for his “tip.” That was his only focus. On one occasion, Gonzalo said “ I wasted my time” because we didn’t get his question / quiz right. I have done many guru walks over Europe and asia and would not recommend him.
Tuvimos la suerte de contar con Gonzalo como nuestro guía en el recorrido gratuito por el Viejo San Juan. A pesar de que solo éramos dos personas, Gonzalo decidió llevar a cabo el tour, demostrando un compromiso excepcional con su labor y los visitantes. Although there were only two of us, Gonzalo decided to conduct the tour, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to his work and the visitors. His explanations were not only detailed, but also delivered with a sense of humor that made the experience much more enjoyable and engaging. Gonzalo exhibited a deep knowledge of the history and secrets of Old San Juan, which enriched our visit. Furthermore, his recommendations on where to eat and what to visit in the following days were accurate and very helpful, tailored to our interests and tastes. While the group was smaller than usual, this resulted in a more personalized and enriching experience. Without a doubt, Gonzalo is a guide who stands out not only for his knowledge but also for his ability to connect with people and make each tour memorable.
