We booked a Barranco walking tour with Bruce through GuruWalk and had a really enjoyable and memorable experience. What we loved most was that it felt much more personal than a standard walking tour. Bruce gave us fascinating, authentic insights into Peruvian culture, politics and the different systems that affect local communities. It really helped us understand Barranco and Peru beyond what you see as a visitor. Bruce is a genuinely interesting guy and very easy to talk to. We had some great conversations and really appreciated being able to ask questions and explore topics that interested us, rather than simply following a set script. He also gave us some excellent personalised recommendations for restaurants and other tours, which were really helpful during our stay in Lima. We would definitely recommend Bruce through GuruWalk if you’re looking for something more than just sightseeing. If you enjoy meeting interesting people, having good conversations and getting genuine local perspectives, we think you’ll really enjoy his tour.

My tour guide Bruce was super friendly and gave lots of local information about Barranco. This tour definitely is not a standard tour, but that’s what makes it so special and worth it. I learned so many things about everyday life and struggles as well as gentrification. Also, Bruce didn’t cancel the tour despite me being the only attendee. Also, he was on time and communication with him was super easy. Bruce is super professional and I appreciate having taken this tour so much.

Bruce hat uns eine interessante Mischung aus der Geschichte der Malerei, Literatur und Musik geboten. Er besitzt ein umfangreiches, großes Wissen und beschreibt anhand der lokalen Kunstobjekte geschichtliche und gesellschaftliche Ereignisse. Er zeigt eine Leidenschaft für Barranco. Ich habe sehr viel Neues erfahren. Die Tour war spannend mit Platz für Fragen und Humor. Ich kann sie sehr empfehlen!

I really enjoyed the tour. In the end, I was the only person who participated, so I basically had a private tour. I really enjoyed it the guide Bruce is a really intelligent person who knows so much about so many things. I was really surprised.

This was a good tour with some interesting information that aimed to balance the "formal" history taught at museums and on standard walking tours with some real-world stories and more esoteric or controversial subjects. However, I would say that the tour felt rushed, finishing promptly on time after 1:45, and there wasn't really time for going into questions from the group or delving more deeply into the variety of topics covered. I'd have preferred to skip the ice cream tasting and have more time for discussion!

One of the best walking tour I have ever had: in Barranco Bruce showed a passionate knowledge of the barrio and has been able to deeply connect the street art with the politics, social and cultural aspects of Peru and Lima. He has a great energy and the ability to fast feel you as a long date friend more than a one time guide. Moreover he can give you great suggestions on restaurants and nightlife! RECOMMENDED as first choice for your tours in Lima

Ricardo fue el guía ideal para recorrer Miraflores y conocer en detalle la historia de este hermoso distrito, así como también curiosidades de Lima.
