Diana was the perfect tour guide. She showed us around some very beautiful historical sites and also gave a lot of detailed information. She also asked us prior to the tour what kind of information we would like to hear more. And she also suggested some local food and local pastry shops. She has this cute little shop which is also very pretty. Overall the tour was awesome especially the way Diana has carried it out.

Diana had a wealth of knowledge. In particular, her perspective on the prison and the escapes were a highlight. Highly recommended.

I was instantly attracted to Romário & Diana's tour because of what they wrote in their description. This charming young couple decided to make Peniche their home because there's so much more to this historic fishing village than Berlengas and surf, and they're super enthusiastic to share these lesser-known aspects with others. For example, I had no clue that Peniche was world-famous for bobbin lace making and that the community is invested in keeping this traditional art form alive until I took this tour. Diana is an exceptional storyteller - she throws a little bit of everything into the mix -history, arts & crafts, politics, religion, economy, environment, and daily life, with a healthy dose of humor! Plus, she customizes her tour to the desires of her audience and although Portuguese is not my first language (or 2nd or 3rd), she repeatedly asked me if I understood what she had said and then patiently re-explained the things I had missed in English. But what I was most impressed with was Diana and Romário's commitment to supporting other local businesses like restaurants, bakeries, and massage therapists, because this is how a community thrives, not through real estate development. Without young people like Diana and Romário taking a stand for cultural preservation, I fear that authentic locales like Peniche could lose their individual identities and end up one big shopping mall full of chain stores where everyone orders from QR code and the only human interactions they have are scripted. We decided to end our tour at the Peniche360 storefront, which I highly recommend that you visit because there you will find locally crafted souvenirs (not made in China) and get great insider tips from Romário & Diana on where to dine, shop, etc., and basically experience Peniche and the surrounding area like a local. The service they provide is unique and incredibly valuable! Moito obrigada!

Peniche es una ciudad que no entra en los planes de la mayoría si no vas a hacer surf… una vez allí y en compañía de Diana te hace de la ciudad y sus alrededores una gran sorpresa. Gracias por todo Diana!! Muy recomendado ☺️

Diana was amazing! She’s passionate about her city and we loved learning all about the history and hearing the tales of the people of Peniche. An absolutely fantastic morning - we both highly recommend taking the tour with Diana!

She was great. Particularly accommodating given we had a huge storm the night before with great power disruption and trees down in the area. She adjusted our starter time per our request. We would recommend Diana for anyone wishing to get a locals perspective (and younger) of Peniche and Portugal.!

Absolutely fantastic tour - thank you Diana. I cannot recommend highly enough. I was the only one on tour (being winter) and Diana didn’t mind. She just wants you to share her love and passion for the area. Amazing 🤩🙏

Uma experiência acima do esperado, uma tour que superou todas as expectativas. Informação muito boa e sítios que nunca tínhamos pensado em passear, saímos com a sensação que realmente ficamos a conhecer a cidade de Peniche. Diana showed us Penische. Penische is a lot more than the fort! Diana told us the stories of the prisoners and showed us the lace museum. We know where we can eat typical sweets and where to go for eat and drinks. Also she showed us where else to go and told us all the whereabouts Diana thank you for this lovely afternoon!

Diana made a fantastic Job showing us Peniche and it's history and culture. She has a lot of passion for her City and showed us places and aspects we would have never found by our own. She tried to help with every question we had and had a lot of great Suggestions.

Diana was amazing! She felt like a friend who also happened to know the entire history of Peniche. I'm not usually into history but she told us very interesting stories and made sure we were enjoying it throughout. 11/10

We had an absolutely fabulous tour with Diana in the wonderful town of Peniche. She turned a town on a sleepy Sunday into a very fascinating morning for us. Her information was thorough, but not boring and there was a lot more to see than we had found on our own on a previous visit. We look forward to returning and trying out some of her recommendations, and possibly even booking a tour with her again sometime.
