A brilliant tour exploring Brazil’s history and African heritage. An essential experience for anyone visiting Rio, offering a deeper understanding of the structural racism that persists to this day. Both beautiful and heartbreaking. Pedro was an exceptional guide! Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This was the best tour of my entire visit to Rio. Bruno’s knowledge and passion for the subject matter was contagious. I learned so much and left the tour inspired to be more vocal about history’s atrocities and more involved in creating positive changes for the future.

Pedro was a wonderful guide! His passion and knowledge made the Little Africa tour an engaging and meaningful experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for Afro-Brazilian history, culture, and resistance, and the Black communities whose stories are so essential to understanding Brazil. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to go beyond the usual tourist attractions. Thank you, Pedro, for such a memorable experience!

As an African, I found this tour to be very poignant, informative, and interesting. It is obvious that Pedro (my tour guide) is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the relationship (past and present) between Africa and Brazil. I had a great time. Obrigado Pedro!

Honestly, one of the best tours I've ever taken. It went ahead even though I was the only one there that day. Very informative, local, engaging, entertaining, and enjoyable (while it lasted just under 5 hours). It offered access and insights that not every guide can provide. It was safe at all times, and Bruno seems to know everyone in RJ. :)
