Super happy with the tour! Tomás really knows the city and its history and showed us lots of places we would have never found otherwise. Also great tips on what to try & do on the island! In the end, we even got further info and recommendations on restaurants! We highly recommend the tour :)

Gabriel had to cancel the tour due to lack of english speaking applicants. Gabriel rang me to apologise and explain, and was very helpful in providing me with information on Funchal. In fact I messaged Gabriel a couple of times over the following days for advice and received prompt useful replies.

Liliana was great. She took us around town and took the time to explain everything. Her English is 💯 and she has a great personality. She offered some pastel de Nata and coffee @Nata7 which was just amazing 🤩

Loved that she took us to learn about Madeira wine at Blandy’s and about the embroidery history. These are places we would probably not have discovered on our own.

Mia was a lovely and charming walking tour guide. You could tell she was very fond of Madeira and she was so kind as to give us some local made biscuits. I felt nervous attending this but Mia made me feel instantly welcome.

This was a very good tour, excellent presentation and Eduardo is very knowledgeable and good humoured. The tour is very interesting but maybe a little bit long for anyone who is already tired after a long day of walking.

We had been now to Funchal twice during our stay on the island and did the tour at the end of the second day. Before the tour we were clueless about the history but now we feel like we've discovered a new appreciation for the city and its people. The history of the island, the different reigns and the hardships due to the environmental disasters - now we look at Funchal and Madeira with even more appreciation and respect than before. Eduardo is passionate about the things he has to tell, makes sure to connect to his group and gives information in the right amount at wonderful and interesting locations.
