Essential Free walking tours of Liverpool

The tour was fantastic. Very informative and at the end we knew a lot about Liverpool history from 1700’s to the present day. The guide Heidi was knowledgeable, funny and really passionate about her home city. At the end we left feeling like we knew the city so much better and understand why the people of Liverpool are proud of their city.

Nothing but praises for this tour. The tour itself covered interesting and major landmarks. The tour guide, Rob was entertaining and knowledgeable.

We had a good time exploring Liverpool at a nice pace while Liam was sharing some insight on the history of the city, including showing pictures of what the city looked like tracing all the way back to the 1200s. Liam also answered most of our questions well and was very engaging. Would recommend!

The history of Liverpool is very interesting, obviously much focus on the Beatles and The Cavern Club.

Ian was an incredible guide! He is so passionate about Liverpool as a city, and was so informative and knowledgeable. You really can tell how much he loves Liverpool and that enhanced our experience greatly! The tour ended up being about 3.5 hours, which was longer than advertised but only added to our enjoyment as it was a pleasure to spend the time with Ian! Fantastic tour, full of history and culture - highly recommend booking!!

The tour guide Helen was excellent, well versed in the history of Liverpool and exceptionally professional and personable. I would recommend this tour.

Really enjoyed our tour with Lucy. The library was beautiful and something we would not have seen unaccompanied. Lucy was interesting and informative and clearly loves Liverpool.

Well, there is more: he's also a great storyteller, intertwining historical events with his personal, first-hand account. Really helpful information and provided great recommendations

Helen was an excellent guide knowledgable informative funny and explained the history of the city in a clear and easy to follow manner and was always happy to answer any questions we may have. The 2 1/2 hours flew by and I now know more than I did about the history of ‘muddy pool’ (Liverpool). Highly recommend tour.

It was an interesting introduction for the city, since it was our first time in the city. The history, stories and legends, the places were qite interesting. Especially some unbeknown stories about the Beatles. Thank you Helen.

Liam was very approachable and easy to talk to. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. I enjoyed the tour very much. If I came to Liverpool again , I would quite happily go on the tour again.

We were going to run late bc of the train schedule. Tried to contact the tour guide, before the tour start time, to see if we could meet up at second stop,. Got no response. Once we got to the tour start point we looked for tour. Couldn’t find it so went to the second spot. Still no luck. Sat in a park to figure out another plan, only to see the tour group. The tour guide told us that all messages went to her boss and he did not relay any messages to her. Would be nice for messages to get to the tour guide. In any case, tour was great and informative.

Overall the content was great. Rob our guide was very knowledgeable. :)
