Visit the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest, one of the world's oldest ethnographic museums, now housed in a striking new building at the entrance to one of the city’s major parks. Established in 1872, it was among the first specialized museums in Europe and remains a key center in Hungary for preserving and sharing cultural heritage. The museum focuses on ethnographic collections and research, helping us understand traditions and ways of life from many different places. Spread across 7,000 m² of exhibition space, you can explore cultures from five continents through both temporary and permanent exhibitions that highlight Hungarian and global stories from new perspectives.
