San Ángel and University City: Cultural Identity of the South of the City

Emilio gave us a very informative tour through San Angel and the university area. He made a nice circle from his opening comments to his concluding ones at the largest mural in the world. Very enjoyable and informative- and a nicr group, too.

Maria was an amazing guide and the tour was very informative and interesting. We got to learn a lot about the history and development of Mexican culture. Maria is knowledgeable and also deeply aware of the nuances and complexities of how cultures continue to form and the importance of the arts in representing this. We loved the Juan O’Gorman mural as an example of this. Maria was kind and sensitive and we felt like we had a rich dialogue with Maria about our different cultures and what we love about our countries- it wasn’t just a monologue. We experienced it as a heart warming connection with Maria and this went beyond our expectations. Thanks Maria and wow, what an experience. Highly recommend!
