This was a short but very interesting tour. Ere, our guide, did a great job combining interesting historic information with fun stories along our walk. I recommend give some time after the tour to go into the Chapultepec castle. This way the visit to the castle was more enjoyable since we had a better understanding of the context of that period of history.

¡UNA FALTA DE RESPETO! No pierdan tiempo yendo al "tour". Al llegar al punto de encuentro, el "guía" Max me dijo que antes de comenzar el tour debía decirme que tenía un precio de al menos 200 pesos mexicanos. Amablemente le expliqué que sé que no es la política de la empresa, que trabaja por propina. Asimismo, le dije que podía pagar 150, que es un monto acorde y respetuoso a su trabajo, y que 200 es un exceso (además de ir en contra de las políticas de free tours). En resumen: se negó a dar el tour. Y me retuvo explicándome su situación laboral, señalando que la empresa le retiene mucho dinero y por eso no quiere dar el tour, pero solo para cumplir iba a hacer guardia al punto de encuentro. Una falta de respeto y consideración para con los viajeros. Poco profesionalismo y seriedad.
Estrella was a great guide, she knew her stuff and the flow and routing on the tour was good. Knowledgeable, friendly, well spoken and a credit to the company. Tlaquepaque is a very cool place and I'd encourage anyone reading this to go. I am not such a fan of the tour finishing at the far end of the main street and the group being allowed to then break up - I'd rather it finished at the bus stop / metro you originally get off at and everyone who wants to go back to Guadalajara is guided through this process and those who want to stay can do so as well. Otherwise a great day was had.
