Hello! I'm Bea, guru from Valencia. I'm an art historian, passionate about travel, routes, cultural heritage and all artistic representations. In addition to my Degree, I have a Master in Art History and Visual Culture, a Postgraduate in Cultural Heritage and a complementary training in museum management, art galleries, exhibition curators, educational workshops and guided tours. I work as a museum technician and doing cultural routes, like the ones I offer in GuruWalk. I love to transmit everything I know about the city where I live, its art, its history and its heritage. I adapt to all types of audiences and requests, and try to make the visits as entertaining as possible. I'll wait for you in Valencia! You'll love it!
Discover all the magic of Valencia by taking a pleasant guided walk through the historic center of the city. We will start at the heart of Roman Valentia and we will make an entertaining tour through its streets and throughout time. We will see the most important monuments and sites and we will know its history, art, heritage and customs from the beginning to the present. Valencia hides a wonderful story that can not be lost.
What does the tour include?
-Original Romans of Valencia (Roman forum and inscription of foundation).
-Valencia medieval (Cathedral, Palace of the Generalitat, street, churches of interest, wall, bridges and medieval towers [Torres de Serranos and Torres de Quart], Silk Exchange, Portal Valldigna, Convent of Carmen).
-Basilica of the Virgen de los Desamparados.
-Source of the Turia river.
-Round Square.
-The narrow (narrowest building in Europe).
-Town Hall Square.
-Bullring.
-North Station.
-And everything we meet along the way.
Halfway through the tour we will take a short break of 20 minutes in the oldest horchatería in Valencia (Horchatería Santa Catalina), where you can taste a traditional horchata, cool off and go to the bathroom if you wish.
At the end of the tour I will answer your questions about the city and offer all kinds of recommendations. Also, if you want to complete the route with a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, I offer a guided tour of the same one of 1 hour.
The duration of this tour is 2 and a half hours, but may vary depending on your needs and / or requests.
