About the tour

The city of St. Petersburg offers many places of historical and cultural interest. Among them is the city subway that, behind the famous Moscow subway, is undoubtedly another place that stands out for its architectural beauty.

Discover the underground artistic landscape of St. Petersburg on a 1.5-hour tour of its metro stations!

Directed by a local guide passionate about the art and history of the city, the tour includes visits to the stations to be seen throughout the city: Ploshchad Vosstaniya, Avtovo, Kirovskiy Zavod and Admiralteyskaya. See bas-relief sculptures, learn about the history of the Soviet Union and visit one of the deepest underground stations in the world.

Did you know that since 2014 the St. Petersburg subway entered the Guinnes Record book for having the deepest station in the world? All these and more details surrounding this place will be announced by a professional guide who will accompany you throughout the tour.

St. Petersburg has one of the most impressive metro systems in the world. Opened in 1955, we can find magnificent architectural masterpieces in each of its stations. It is easy to confuse some stations with luxury hotel receptions, including palaces.

We can observe multiple stations that have been decorated with marble, mosaics, bronze sculptures and beautiful stained glass windows. This with the purpose of improving prosperity and the achievements of the growing political and economic power of the Soviet Union.
