My name is Raúl, I have a degree in Art History, with a master's degree in "Art, Museums and Historical Heritage Management". I have been an official tourist guide for over 6 years. I have worked as a guide in different cities such as Granada, Seville, Florence, Malaga, Merida, Cáceres, Trujillo and, for 3 years, in Palencia, León and Astorga. The fact of being able to work as a guide in these cities offers me the possibility of knowing them a little better day after day, since in this work, the training must be continued to offer a service with the highest possible quality. Committed to tourist quality, since I am one of the few guides in León who can boast having the "Tourist Quality Commitment" Seal. Come and discover Leon and Astorga with me, surely you have a great time.

About the tour

Join us on this Guruwalk through the city of Valladolid, where we will tour the main streets and squares and get to know the most emblematic monuments of the capital of Pisuerga. We will begin our tour in the Plaza Mayor, the nerve center of the city. From there we will go to the nearby Plaza de Fuente Dorada and the little known Pasaje Gutiérrez, one of the few nineteenth-century commercial passages that are still preserved in Spain. Later we will arrive at the Cathedral, whose works were never finished although if it had been completed it would have been the largest Christian temple in Europe. Not far away is the University of Valladolid, one of the first in our country and through which illustrious characters like Quevedo or Delibes passed. Going down we will arrive at Nuestra Señora de la Antigua which, as the name implies, is the oldest temple in Valladolid, in which its well-known tower stands out. We cannot forget another of the most emblematic churches, Las Angustias, headquarters of one of the most important brotherhoods in the city and with works by prominent figures such as Gregorio Fernández or Francisco de Rincón. Later we will arrive at the San Martín neighborhood, where some of the wealthiest families in Valladolid lived. Finally, after passing through the house of another illustrious Valladolid, José Zorrilla, we will arrive at the Plaza de San Pablo, a space full of monuments and where some of the most important historical events in our country have taken place. In this Plaza we will know places like Colegio San Gregorio, one of the best examples of the final Gothic we have in Spain, the Pimentel Palace, where Felipe II was born, the majestic facade of San Pablo or the Royal Palace, where Emperor Carlos V He was staying when he visited the city and it was even the residence of Napoleon himself as he passed through Valladolid.
