A walk through Malasaña, history, nightlife, and street art
Tour description
On this tour through Malasaña, I will tell you about the origin of the neighborhood that witnessed the birth of the Madrid movement and was a witness to the uprising against the Napoleonic troops in 1808. A route where I will explain the reasons behind the street names and the secrets this wonderful neighborhood hides. We start at Teatro Lara, a classic century-old venue, passing through the Plaza de San Ildefonso, to the oldest businesses. We will walk through the streets that saw this neighborhood come to life (Corredera Alta de San Pablo), vintage shops (Velarde), and where the Madrid movement originated. The interesting history of Plaza del 2 de Mayo and the surrounding streets. Our tour ends at Conde Duque, having previously walked through Plaza de las Comendadoras, and I will tell you a curious story about the Madrid beer Mahou. -> The minimum number of people required for the tour is 4 pax. *Madrid is a safe city, but always remember to be careful with your belongings, for which you are responsible. **Come with comfortable shoes and clothing, suitable for the weather conditions to fully enjoy the tour. ***Punctuality is requested out of respect for the rest of the group.
