For many years I have been leading study trips across Spain, Mexico and Portugal. My PhD in art history brought me to Madrid. Wine and gastronomy are the focus of my cultural trips. I pass many personal tips on on my tours and in my travel books.
With more than 8000 paintings in its possession, the Prado is one of the most important collections in the world. It is easy to get lost in the long corridors and the countless rooms of the museum.
Come with me for a walk through the history of painting! I will guide you from masterpiece to masterpiece.
Together we will explore the secrets of Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights and wonder who Goya's Naked Maja really was. El Greco is shown as a visionary of the modern age and far ahead of his time. With Velázquez we immerse ourselves in the Golden Age of Spain. And who would have thought, the Prado also has a Mona Lisa!
Admission to the museum is FREE from Monday to Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sundays from 5 pm to 7 pm
Please book early, I'll be happy to book your free ticket online for 6:15 PM. You will receive more information when making the reservation. Audio games are available.
I will be next to the Goya statue in front of the lockers and I am wearing a red scarf.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
