Tour description

The Real Villa de San Miguel de Teguise is an essential place to visit if you come to Lanzarote.
In this tour I will show you the main corners of the Villa de Teguise, the ancient capital of the island.
"La Villa" (as the people of Lanzarote call it) was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in the typology of a historic complex in 1981 and has just been incorporated into the network of "most beautiful towns in Spain", a benchmark of prestige and quality at the level national and international (it is based on the French model of "les plus beaux villages de France") which already has 104 towns throughout Spain.
Teguise is one of the oldest and best-preserved cities in the entire Canary Islands , founded at the dawn of the conquest and colonization of the Canary Islands, an authentic historical document. In addition, it constitutes an excellent sample of typically Canarian popular, military and religious architectural typologies , highlighting the famous "Byzantine" chimneys of Lanzarote and the stately mansions. Prepare the camera!
In the Villa, in addition, original Canarian traditions are preserved , that synthesis of European, Berber, Magrevi and Latin American cultures that characterize and give color to our unique town.
Bringing a jacket is recommended! In the Villa the northeast trade winds directly from the sea and makes considerable "scratches" in the afternoons.
For the rest, I promise to make you have a good time and as always in my tours, I will give you recommendations of other places to see, how to complete the visit and I will answer all your questions with pleasure.

I will be in the little square with gardens in front of the town hall, near the bus stop, next to a large sign with a map of Lanzarote. I wear my guide card around my neck in a bright red holster. I don't use an umbrella because it rarely rains here. Come over and ask.

How much does this tour cost?

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
