Tour description

Discover the capital of the Ebro river and its more than 2000 years of history, art, culture and traditions. On this tour you will be able to enjoy not only its most important monuments but also all its secrets through an interactive visit.

You will discover the ancient past of Caesaraugusta, the Roman colony, and also the different cultures that inhabited the Islamic Saraqusta and its heritage: Mudejar art, a World Heritage Site. We will walk through its traditional streets and we will cross "El Tubo" an essential gastronomic tapas area next to baroque churches and remains of the 19th century avant-garde modernist Zaragoza. Obviously, we will admire Zaragoza's two great jewels, located in the same square, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and the Cathedral of San Salvador also known as La Seo.
Knowing a city, however, goes beyond seeing its monuments, that's why we will get to know some hidden corners and spaces in order to learn about their stories, legends, life, and in general, their people.

Most important points of interest that we will visit:

  • Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar
  • Cathedral of San Salvador or La Seo
  • Roman theatre of Caesaraugusta
  • "El Tubo": Gastronomic area
  • Two Mudejar churches: San Gil and Magdalena
  • "La Lonja"
  • Alfonso Street
  • Central Market
  • Church of Santa Isabel de Portugal
  • Statue of Caesar Augustus and the Roman walls
  • Monument to Francisco de Goya
  • And many others that you will discover during the tour

Remember: you have come to have a good time, enjoy Zaragoza! .

We would recommend ZaragozaTours to anybody would enjoys walking around a City for the first time, finding unexpected places and information on nearly every corner. Being given an explanation of how the city has evolved over the centuries is more informative than reading about it.
