Hello! Hola! Salut! I am Gabriela and I will take you on a fun trip to uncover Bucharest's history, its landmarks, traditions, food, drinks and best Romanian jokes. I've lived in comunist and post comunist România, studied in Spain, worked in the USA as a Spanish Teacher and now I am working as a tour guide in Bucharest. Wouldn't you like to find out about our tradition to steal the bride during the wedding and how we celebrate the coming of spring exchanging little jewels called marțisoare? And why Bucharest is called the City of Joy because the legend says it was founded by a sheppard called Bucur, meaning joy in Romanian. Make your stay in Bucharest full of fun and joy!
