After living 5 years in Italy and two in Scotland, I'm back in my beloved Barcelona willing to do something that I enjoy and that I've already done in the past with my Worldwide friends: Walking through MY city, showing it, explaining it so you, like them, can enjoy and understand its beauty

Tour description

Did you know that Barcelona was known as the Fire Rose?

... That the Bankruptcy concept has its origin in the exchange tables of the flourishing Medieval city?

Or what about buildings that still bear the scars of an earthquake that occurred in 1428?

This intimate tour is presented as the option for those who want to understand Barcelona while walking through the streets of its historic center. Together we will walk through more than 2000 years of history, from the Roman Barcino to the BCN of the 21st century, passing through the laborious Medieval Barcelona that soaks up the Gothic and the Revolutionary Rose of Fire of the late 19th century. We will discover little-known sites, we will see how certain places have changed their meanings over the centuries, we will let the scars on the walls tell us their history and imbue us with the beauty of their contrasts.

What will we see?

  • Roman Barcino: Roman Sepulchral Way, Aqueduct, Roman Wall, Roman Gate and Temple of Augustus
  • Medieval Barcelona: Jewish Quarter, Casa del Ardiaca, Cathedral, Sant Just i Pastor, Santa Maria del Mar, Calle Montcada, Palau del LLoctinent
  • Modern Barcelona: Generalitat Palace, Sant Felip Neri, Plaza Real. Paseo del Born
  • Contemporary Barcelona: The Kiss, Calle del Obispo, Liceu, Els Quatre Gats.

If you opt for a unique, quiet and fun experience with a native guide who knows, loves the city and wants to share its history, this is your tour.
