Free Tour through the history and culture of Guadalajara
I am originally from Guadalajara, I have always lived here, I am passionate about knowing the history and culture of the places I visit, and that is why I like to share the city where I live with others, so that they can make the most of their visit.
Tour description
Welcome everyone to one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico! We will take a tour through the history of Guadalajara, knowing the moments that have marked the course of this city , from its founding, through its history until today. Guadalajara is a city with many stories and curiosities to tell , let's get to know them!
We will start our tour with the oldest and most iconic building in our city: the Cathedral , we will learn about its hidden legends and its peculiar architecture . We will continue in the Plaza de la Rotonda to learn the stories of prominent figures of our city.
We will enter the Government Palace museum, which was once a fortress and today has impressive mural paintings by José Clemente Orozco, and we will continue our tour to appreciate the beautiful architecture of the Degollado Theater.
We will know the place where our city was founded and some curious facts about its foundation almost 500 years ago!
We will go through the alleys that keep ancient legends and we will end our tour in a beautiful museum that is also a World Heritage Site : the Cabañas Hospice.
