Hi! I'm Diego. I-m born and raised in Santiago and I've been a tour guide for the last 8 years in the central zone of Chile. I also have studies in English teaching so I'm effectively fluent in English. i-m a born traveler, father of a baby boy and arts aficionado. I have cycled more than 5 thousand kilometers along Chile and also part of Argentina. I've done several hikes as well so I can give lots of recomendations for those who are looking for outdoor adventures. Join me to see the best of Santiago with a real speaker of English!

Tour description

9th coolest neighbourhood in the world- Barrio Yungay

If you're looking for an out-of-the mainstream tour in Santiago de Chile, in this tour you could explore some of the best alleys in Santiago where graffiti have taken over the first neighbourhood ever planned in Chile.
According to Timeout, Yungay is currently having a renaissance due to its  with "accessible, cutting-edge culture and nightlife; brilliant and affordable food and drink" at some incredible holes on the wall.

On this tour we're visiting the most remarkable places in this area (cause it's huge, we're doing only 1/4 of its size:

  • The Quinta normal park
  • The human rights museum
  • Museum of education (Gabriela Mistral's former school)
  • "Cité" concept
  • Sound Museum
  • The current president's house (believe it or not).
  • Casona compañía
  • The french barber shop and its restaurant.
  • Stop at the Selvaggio bakery before "once time"
  • "Casa Gárgola"
  • Plaza Yungay
  • Álamos palace
  • Metro Cumming (final stop)

Come and join me to explore the B-side of downtown Santiago.

Diego was a fantastic guide! We felt immersed in the neighborhood and not just like superficial visitors. The art was amazing, being able to actually go into some of the locations for a more immersive experience was incredible, and the bakery he took us to was 🤤 Highly recommend Diego's tour to anyone wanting to explore Yungay!!
