Join me on an exciting journey through historic Chefchaouen, The Blue Pearl of Morocco. Together, we will explore the splendor of Andalusian civilization, discover the legacy left by ancient rulers, and learn about the fascinating lives of our ancestors through the city’s most emblematic landmarks.
What We’ll See:
- Al-Kasaba Fortress – We begin near this iconic landmark, where I will introduce you to the city’s history and share the story of its founder, Moulay Ali.
- Jewish Quarter – Visit one of the oldest Jewish quarters in northern Morocco and learn about its rich history.
- Blue & White Tradition – Discover the first place where locals began painting their houses in blue and white, and uncover the hidden meanings behind this unique tradition.
- Souika Quarter – Stroll through Chefchaouen’s first residential and commercial neighborhood, where traditions and daily life blend together.
- Plaza Al-Alhaouta – Explore this majestic square and hear about the many activities that have taken place here since its creation.
- The Most Instagrammed Quarter – Wander through one of the most photographed areas in the world (ranked in 2018), with plenty of stops for stunning pictures in famous alleys, hidden corners, and vibrant streets.
- Al-Onsar (The Springs) – Visit the natural springs and the traditional washing area, while learning about Chefchaouen’s historic water system.
- Outa el-Hammam Square – We’ll conclude our tour in the lively heart of the city, surrounded by cafés, shops, and the breathtaking view of the Grand Mosque and Kasbah walls.
