Valencian modernism in the l'Eixample area
Hello! My name is Pablo, I am a historian and professor. I am in love with Valencia, its culture, traditions and history. Therefore, I love sharing my knowledge and my passion with other people. And, by the way, I never stop visiting new places or studying new topics. I take advantage of my free time to dance, sing in the choir, watch football or simply walk around my beloved city, Valencia.
Tour description
Do you want to know Valencia not its tourist façade? Visit the neighborhoods with the authentic Valencian atmosphere ? Do you know the best area to go out ?
A unique visit to beautiful neighborhoods of Valencia , which best represent Valencian modernism as a specific style of this city and are related both to the history of the capital of Turia at the beginning of the 20th century , which was the time of active development, as with other historical moments, which, for example, was the conquest of Valencia by King Jaime I.
The tour begins with the general meeting next to the Alacant tram stop with the presentation of the tour (10-15 min). During the tour we visit the Ruzafa neighborhood and the Gran Vía Marqués de Turia area, with expected stops with the following milestones:
- curtain building
- Ferrer House
- jewish house
- Ortega House
- church of san valero
- Ruzafa Market
- Convent of Our Lady of the Angels
- and others
The tour ends near the El Pla del Remei neighborhood , where there are many restaurants, cafes and bars, which is comfortable to eat after such a long walk.
In case you are not going to attend this tour but have already booked it, please cancel the reservation.
