The Alternative Copenhagen Tour: THE DARKEST DENMARK starts at Espresso House Rådhuspladsen and ends in the Meatpacking District. You will discover with the help of a local expert a Copenhagen very different from the historic center and away from the most popular attractions. During the tour, you will hear the story of a completely different world that questions the social, political, and cultural status quo.

We will take you to explore the underground scene of Copenhagen, walking through the red-light district of Vesterbro. We will tell you its interesting history, from its origins as a working-class neighborhood to the present day. You will learn why this neighborhood has become home to many young artists and entrepreneurs, and you will be able to observe the eclectic mix of residents in the area after recent renovations.
