A historical and informative tour knowing Cali through time and its different inhabitants, visiting some of the most emblematic museums and places in the City.
PRE-COLUMBIAN ERA 👣 TRIBES OF THE CAUCA VALLEY
We will visit the Gold Museum of the Banco de la República in Cali where they have a sample of gold and ceramic objects made by the indigenous tribes that inhabit the territory, allowing us to explore the time line from the year 17,000 BC to the 16th century.
COLONIAL ERA ✝️ BEGINNINGS OF THE CITY
To discover the time of Spanish rule and the development of our city, we will go to see and explore some of the most emblematic buildings of this time in Cali: La Merced Church (where the first mass was held after the founding of Cali) and the House of the Archdiocese of Cali (where Simon Bolivar stayed in Cali), allowing us to explore the approximate time line from the year 1550 to 1810.
CURRENT 👁️ MODERN CONFLICTS
To culminate the exploration of the different times and people who have inhabited this territory from long ago until today, we will visit the House of Memory, a didactic place to learn about the violence and events that have occurred in Cali in recent decades.
After our historical exploration, we will walk along the Bulevar del Río while we recite some poems dedicated to the city and region and we will finish in the Parque de los Poetas in front of La Ermita Church, the most famous church in the city.
History, information and fun. We will wait for you!
