Free Tour Golden Age of Seville

 On this Golden Age free tour of Seville, we will delve into one of the most glorious eras of the city of Seville, when the Andalusian capital was the hub of trade with America:

"He who has not seen Seville, has not seen a wonder". This was the most common phrase when speaking of the Andalusian capital in the 16th and 17th centuries. 

Itinerary:

We will meet at San Francisco Square to begin a walking tour that will allow us to explore the most glorious era of Seville. Let's go!

After the discovery of the New World, Venetians, Genoese, Flemish, Germans, and many other European citizens settled in Seville to start prosperous businesses in the so-called "Gateway and Port of America". We will reveal all the curiosities and secrets of this fascinating history!

During our free tour, we will admire the Plaza del Triunfo, known for the famous UNESCO triangle. Did you know that this place hosts up to three buildings protected as World Heritage Sites? We will admire the exteriors of the General Archive of the Indies, the Royal Alcazar of Seville, the Catedral, and the Giralda.

 We will talk about the House of Trade, a key place to understand the Sevillian Golden Age. Good land communications and favorable navigation on the Guadalquivir were crucial elements in making Seville the hub of trade with America.

We will continue walking and seeing other emblematic buildings such as the Royal Mint, the Customs House, the Church of Charity, or the Shipyards. We will also approach the Guadalquivir to admire the Torre del Oro while reviewing the fascinating expeditions of Magellan and Elcano. 

After two hours of touring, we will end the free tour at Alcalde Marqués de Contadero promenade.
