Lisbon Music Free Walking Tour
Tour description
We will start our journey in Chiado next to Fernando Pessoa statue and Brasileira Café , one of the most famous places in Lisbon.
We will hear a poem by Pessoa regarding music and then we will stroll around 3 neighborhoods of Lisbon and do stops along the way to listen to various kinds of Portuguese music from the 13th century to the 20th century as we talk about history.
This will be done through a stereo connected to my cellphone Bluetooth.
The early T roubadours, Baroque, the Jewish influence in Cante Alentejano, Fado and much more will be our main subjects. Together with music we will be covering monuments, architecture and the life of the city with unmissable details.
The area of Chiado, Restauradores, Baixa and Mouraria will be our main places to stroll around allowing us to be in touch both with the area rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755 as well as one of the oldest quarters of Lisbon.
There is no need for previous knowledge about music in general, you only need to bring a smile and good mood.
