Madrid is a city rich in diversity and culture. The objective of Inclusive Tours is to reflect this diversity in our visits, showing a history that lives and beats in Madrid but that often remains in the shadows. Enjoy the city with Inclusive Tours with visits full of culture, history and a lot of humor (and love).
Do you want to know Madrid and its LGTBIQ+ history?
There is no doubt that Madrid is one of the most LGBT-friendly cities in the world. Madrid pride is a reference and people from all over come to enjoy the culture and diversity of the city.
With this tour we intend to make visible a very alive history in the city that sometimes remains in the shadows. The heart of our tour is to learn about the LGTBIQ+ history of Madrid and the characters who have made the Spanish capital one of the most LGBT-friendly places in the world.
Starting from Plaza Chueca, we will learn about the history of the great poet Federico García Lorca and his time in Madrid, walking through places of reference in the poet's life, we will talk about Cristina la Veneno and what her person meant in transsexual visibility, we will tell anecdotes about the writer Gloria Fuertes, and we will get to know the Madrid scene, among others, visiting places such as Plaza Chueca, Congress of Deputies, Plaza Santa Ana or Puerta del Sol on our way.
What will be some of our stops?
Among other stops that you will surely love!
We will be in Plaza del Rey, next to the central fountain of the square. With public transport you will easily reach the square leaving from the "Banco de España" or "Chueca" metro stop. We will have an umbrella with the logo and the name "inclusive tours".
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
