Tour description

We'll take a tour of the city of Rio, led by an indigenous guide, showing the profound transformations in the geography of the city centre in particular, with a special focus on ancestral black and indigenous occupation. We will then visit an indigenous village in an urban context, located next to the famous Maracanã stadium, where we will be able to experience a little of the cultural manifestation of the native peoples present, including songs, cuisine and handicrafts. In addition to the cultural experience, we'll look in depth at the processes of social struggle that are an inseparable part of the existence and organisation of these territories.

* We may take públic transport from downtown to the village.
