Welcome to the most comprehensive free tour of Amsterdam, where you'll experience the Dutch Golden Age and the darkest years of World War II . We also shouldn't forget the Social Revolution of the 1970s , which shaped the city's personality to this day.
We'll begin our tour at the foot of the Westerkerk, the largest Protestant church in Amsterdam. We'll walk past the Anne Frank House and the famous Jewish quarter of Jordaan, where We'll tell you about the Nazi Occupation and the Holocaust in the city. We'll explain the secrets of its Dancing Houses, the construction of the Canal Ring , and the importance of the Tulip throughout the country.
Walking through the heart of the 9 Streets , we'll head to Dam Square and its bustling surroundings. Meanwhile, we'll show you the Royal Palace and the National Monument where You will learn about the first hours after the Nazi Liberation and the foundations of the Dutch Monarchy during the Eighty Years' War.
Next we will visit the Beguinage , home to the first independent nurses of the Church during the 13th century.
We'll end our Free Tour at the Flower Market , next to the famous Rembrandt Square . But not before we'll tell you about the best things to do in the city, including gastronomy, museums, and more.
Entrance to the Beguinage and a tour of the Flower Market will be possible on morning tours due to the visiting hours of the complex and flower shops.
On the afternoon tours we will skirt the Red Light District and finish in front of the Old Church or Oudekerk .

IMPORTANT : We do not accept group reservations for groups larger than 5 people. If you are interested in taking a tour with us and you are a group of more than 5 walkers, please do not hesitate to contact us through Guruwalk. This is due to the Amsterdam City Council's regulations, which prohibit groups of more than 15 people per guide, and fines of up to €900 may apply.
At the end of our Free Tour , we only accept payments in euros ; we do not accept dollars . Payment must be made in cash ; we cannot guarantee that card payments will be possible with all our guides. Ask your guide if you need an ATM or cash machine during the tour to avoid any inconvenience at the end of the Free Tour .
