My name is Kasra, and I’m a big fan of history, now a PhD candidate in Ottoman History at Istanbul University, currently in the final year of my research. With a deep passion for the rich and layered history of Istanbul, I specialize in the cultural, artistic, and intellectual exchanges between empires, particularly during the Ottoman era. I love to discover new places and getting knowledge about new cultures and languages. In addition to Turkish, I speak English, French, Arabic, and Persian, which allows me to connect with a diverse range of guests and share Istanbul’s stories in a truly inclusive way.

Tour description

As a historian and storyteller, I aim to bring the city's past to life through engaging narratives that connect monuments, neighborhoods, and artworks to the empires, peoples, and ideas that shaped them. My academic background allows me to offer a deeper perspective on Istanbul’s unique position as a crossroads of civilizations.
I look forward to guiding you through the history, beauty, and soul of this timeless city.
We will visit some mosques so decent clothes is advised.
