Free Tour: World War II and the Holocaust (Le Marais)
LE MARAIS AND THE SECOND WORLD WAR
On this tour, we'll explore one of Paris's oldest and most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Europe: Le Marais, home to the largest Jewish community on the continent and the French capital's gay neighborhood. Its imposing mansions and ancient streets, still so vibrant today, witnessed one of the most tragic moments in human history. We'll pay special attention to how World War II and the Holocaust were experienced in Paris, as well as the role of the French Resistance. Above all, we'll remember the importance of understanding our history as a tool for peace.
