Free Tour Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte
Tour description
In this tour we will walk through the most iconic and fascinating neighborhoods of Granada: the Albaicín and the Sacromonte, two souls of the city that tell centuries of history, culture and tradition.
We will meet at Plaza Nueva, in the heart of the historic center. From there we will begin our route to explore the most characteristic neighborhoods of the city.
Our first stop will be the Albaicín (or Albayzín), the old Arab quarter of Granada, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this tour we will explore it in depth, discovering its history, secrets and breathtaking views.
We will gradually climb up to discover some secret viewpoints, known only to those who live here, from which we can admire the Alhambra in all its majesty. From these hidden corners we will tell you about the history of this monument, the true jewel of the city.
Finally we will reach the famous Mirador de San Nicolás, where the view of the Alhambra at sunset is often accompanied by the sound of flamenco guitar.
Then, crossing strategic and not very tiring passages, we will move towards Sacromonte, the gypsy neighborhood famous for its caves dug into the rock and for being the cradle of Granada's flamenco, the zambra. Here we will tell you about the origins of these traditions and the unique spirit that animates this part of the city.
We will end the tour near Carmen de la Victoria, an ideal point from which to easily return to the center or stop to taste tapas in the places recommended by our guides, to experience Granada also through its flavors.
A group of passionate local guides awaits you to accompany you on this authentic and unforgettable journey.
Don't miss the chance to experience Granada like you've never seen it before!
