Walkative was established in 2007 by a group of young enthusiasts who also happened to be licensed tour guides. Today, we operate in 20 cities in countries across all of Europe and beyond, including France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Ukraine and Israel. We have already guided more than 3 million tourists, with more than 350 000 in 2023 only! Despite this growth, we stay true to our values: be local and present the history of our cities in a professional, yet entertaining way, accessible for everybody, regardless their budget. We provide service not only in big, well established places like Berlin, Paris or Krakow, but also smaller, less known, yet no less fascinating locations, like Nice, Toruń or Lublin. We cooperate with highly trained, professional guides providing both engaging tip-based and regular fixed-price tours. And most importantly - we know our cities by heart! Join us and stay Walkative!

Tour description

Walk in the footsteps of revolutionaries on this powerful 2-hour tour through Paris. From the storming of the Bastille to the fall of monarchs and the Paris Commune, discover how revolution shaped the city—and the world. Book now to experience Paris like never before—through fire, freedom, and history!

Bastille Day. La Marseillaise echoing through the boulevards. Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité etched into city walls. The Revolution is everywhere—etched into the very stones of Paris. It was a movement that didn’t just transform France—it gave rise to democracy, inspired global movements, and turned Paris into a city not just of beauty and grandeur, but of rebellion, ideas, and reinvention.

Highlights include:

  • Palais Royal, where Camille Desmoulins ignited the spark that would storm the Bastille.
Tuileries Palace, once a royal residence, later consumed by revolutionary fire.
  • Place Vendôme, where elegance met the fury of the Paris Commune.
  • Robespierre’s house, and the shadows of the Reign of Terror.
  • La Madeleine, Napoleon’s tribute to power turned into a sacred site.
  • Place de la Concorde, where kings and queens lost their heads.
  • Assemblée Nationale, heart of today's French Republic.

Join us to uncover the revolutionary spirit that still pulses through Paris—the resilience, rebellion, and reinvention that made the City of Light burn bright with change.
